The main phone number for the hospital is 706/722-9011.
There is no charge to patients or visitors for local calls made from the patient's room -- just dial 9 and the local number. Upon request, the hospital can block incoming calls to the patient's room, but still allow outgoing calls to be made. For the hearing impaired, arrangements can be made to use a special TDD telephone. In addition, a TDD phone is located off the lobby for visitors who are hearing impaired.
Dialing a Patient's Room
For rooms on floors 3-9: Add a "3" in front of the room number for a private room and for the first bed in a semi-private room (Room 409 = 774-3409, for example). Add a "4" in front of the room number for the second bed in a semi-private room (Second bed in room 409 = 774-4409, for example).
For rooms on the 10th floor: Drop the "1" in the room number and again add "3" for a private room and the first bed in a semi-private room (Room 1031 = 774-3031, for example). Likewise, drop the "1" and add "4" for the second bed in a semi-private room (Second bed in room 1033 = 774-4033, for example).
Direct numbers are listed on the console above the phone in each room.
